Chautauqua Park

Chautauqua Park

Great for hiking, house envy (some beauties), super fit mad cyclists. Trail is gentle to start with but gets progressively harder.

Beautiful scenery and great hiking right in Boulder. Well worth spending a couple morning hours here.

Chautauqua National Historic Landmark is a cultural and recreational area just steps from Boulder that has been in use since 1898. Besides having excellent hiking trails for all abilities, there are opportunities to stay in cottages and enjoy music and other arts.

Visit the dining hall for a hearty meal and check the schedule for upcoming cultural events, films, concerts, and more.

Peek into Chautauqua’s ranger station to ask about what trails would suit you best and to learn about the natural history of the park. Then head out onto the trails and hike at the base of the stunning Flatirons, in the foothills of the Rockies.
